Breakfast Television show hosted their first "BT Awards" in Canada on Citytv. The show also presents its own "BT Viewers' Choice Award," which is awarded to on-air personalities based on audience votes.
I wanted the awards to feel timeless and fun without taking themselves too seriously, using humour to give them real personality.
The original ask from my director and the client was simply to create a look-and-feel system using the logo and type, but I pushed the idea further and turned it into more than just a segment—it became a full awards concept. I came up with a custom trophy that combined a retro TV with a toaster, which felt funny, unexpected, and perfectly on brand for a breakfast show. To build out the awards, I used ChatGPT as a creative tool to explore different award ideas through prompts, while keeping the concepts and direction fully my own. This helped us scale the idea quickly and consistently.Design Director: Bart Sciana

Fun. Fun. Fun.
The trophy concept unlocked endless animation possibilities for each category and made the awards feel memorable and engaging. I also carried the idea through to production, managing the 3D printing of the physical award so it became a real, on-set moment—not just a visual idea.
